Stu Cavner and Steve Shattuck and their wonderful crew just finished building our 1600sq ft home in Lowell. Innovative Builders & Remodelers is a high quality firm. The employees who provided the work on our kitchen each worked as if THEY owned the company, and treated my house as if it were their own home in the quality of their work and in the cleanliness of the place when they went home. 5 pm was not necessarily quitting time, rather they went home when whatever project they were working on was completed. The sub-contractors were also top notch. They came when they were scheduled. And when on rare occasions they were held up on another job and were going to be late or needed to reschedule, they called to let me know. Communication is a high value for me when working with contractors. I made that known up front, and they always respected it. Not only would I recommend this firm, I plan to hire them again this year!

We have had a number of remodeling project done at our house over the past 17 years. The two projects we just had completed by Innovative Builders were by far the best in quality, cost, responsiveness, and outstanding customer service. Stu, Matt, Eric and Caleb were all great to work with. They did everything they could to make the building process go smoothly. From Caleb and Eric moving a bush prior to the start of construction to Stu putting up the light on my back of my house at the end, everyone was more than helpful. I was thankful to be kept informed by Don as to when workers would be coming to my house. Most of the sub-contractors were very professional and did great work. I enjoyed the easy going yet professional way the team has of doing business. They all has a very professional attitude towards their craft and want nothing more than to present the perfect finished product to their customers and yet they are very personable and fun to work with. Not one of them was flustered when we hit a challenge they simply worked around the obstacle to ensure the end product was what I was expecting. Stu was an absolute joy to work with and I now consider him a friend. Travis and Matt were at the top of my “go to” list for multiple projects and Don was always available to keep me updated on the paperwork/scheduling side of the project. I had heard many horror stories from friends who had their home built but my experience with Innovative was a dream. Naturally, there were unexpected surprises here and there but nothing that wasn’t easily remedied. I have recommended them to many friends for projects big and small and will only use Innovative for future projects at my new home. When people ask me if I would ever build a house again, my answer is always a resounding yes and that is all thanks to the team at Innovative. I can’t thank them enough for making my Dream Home a reality.

Stu was honest and friendly. Very thorough in making sure we looked at every possibility for repair/replacing the window. He brought an extra person out to also check it out prior to making a decision. The guys that came and installed were friendly and clean. And the painter was also very friendly and clean. A great experience! The window looks beautiful. I also am impressed that being a woman, I didn’t feel pressured or like I was being taken advantage of for “anything I don’t know about windows or construction”. I was very comfortable with everyone involved.

I wanted to write to tell you, again what wonderful work you do! We went to our cottage over the weekend – had not been there since Thanksgiving. Innovative Builders & Remodelers designed my new bathroom and laundry room. The design has worked out great! They totally redid them both putting a door in between. By moving one sink into the laundry room we opened up enough room for a large tile shower plus a perfect soak tub. They did a beautiful job, couldn’t be happier!

If you are looking for a professional company that does great work at a competitive price, this is the right company to hire. I have used them to repair my home from wind damage, sheet rock and finish the garage, and remodel my kitchen and master bath. The workmanship is excellent. The materials were top notch and the installers very professional. My kitchen and bathroom exceeded our expectations. I will be using them for additional projects later this year.

We had water damage in our kitchen and eating area due to roof leakage that was caused by ice and snow from the winter weather. We called Stuart because we had hired his company previously for a few small jobs and were very satisfied. This was going to be a big job and we had to live in the house while the work was being done. First, the problem needed to be fixed. Stuart’s team got right on it and repaired the roof. Then we needed to decide on a plan for the kitchen/eating area. I had a pretty good idea about what I wanted but I really respect Stuart for clearly stating that some of my ideas were not really going to work and offered solutions. Innovative Builders & Remodelers came in and gutted the entire kitchen/eating area. We had no sink or stove and we had to use a microwave oven in one of the back bedrooms. Stuart’s team seemed to us to be fast and effective. They even moved the gas line so the oven could be relocated. I did have concerns along the way and they were addressed immediately. I will recommend this company to others and we will hire them again.

Innovative Builders & Remodelers transformed our basic walkout ranch home into a beautiful craftsman style walkout ranch – changing from white vinyl siding to Hardie Board siding and shakes, changing roof lines, adding eyebrows to the corners of the over hangs, adding a roof dormer with metal roofing, and cedar trim around all the window and doors. Our project came in on budget and on time we could not be happier with Innovative Builders and Remodelers’ team and the way our home turned out.

Our project consisted of taking down our sun porch mainly due to water damage deterioration and replacing it with a deck and roof over it. Stuart helped us so much in figuring out just what we could replace the sun porch with. He was very understanding of the stressfulness of the situation we were in. During the demolition and rebuilding he was in constant communication with others so that the project came together in a timely manner. His knowledge, experience, patience, and love of his work shows in the finished product. The deck is beautiful and we are very satisfied. In the past, Stuart has also redone our kitchen and bathroom with the same fine workmanship. We always feel we can call Stuart with the smallest issues. They are always important to this very caring professional.

I had heat tape installed on the front of my roof. The young men were very polite and it appears they did a fine job. I have not had enough snow to turn it on since the installation.

I have just hired Innovative Builders & Remodelers for the third time. When you find a company that does quality work who you can trust and rely on, you want to stick with them! The first project I hired Innovative Builders & Remodelers for was to tear down an old deck and build us a new one. The crew was on time, courteous, and always cleaned up the site. They even spent time to move the stairs around to be sure they had them exactly where I wanted them. Our second project was adding on a new mudroom/laundry room to the house. A different crew came to do this work, but again they were punctual, courteous, and always cleaned up. They went above and beyond during their time working. They built a frame for a unique functional piece of artwork I have because they thought it would look nice and hung it up for me. At the time, we had children who spoke Spanish living with us and they attempted to write signs in Spanish about not touching wet paint. There were a lot of little kind things that they did that made it enjoyable to have them working in our home. Our third project is now at the beginning stages. We are renovating a 160 year old home. Seeing drawings on paper and then in 3D on the computer is awesome! Seeing the end product will be even better! I can’t say enough about the team of professionals this company has. They do top notch work and I will hire them again and again and recommend them to anyone for any project! I request things and they make it happen! A great company!

Stu and his team were a real pleasure to work with. They were very professional and provided excellent customer service. Stu is a trustworthy individual and proved it many times throughout the process of remodeling our home. I am very happy with the final product and if I were to build a home or complete another remodel in the future Stu will be the first person I call. He had great ideas for both cost savings and improvements during our home remodel. He stayed on top of scheduling, requested follow ups, and got with us regularly to get approvals and to let us know what to prepare for during each phase. After we had water damage, Innovative Builders & Remodelers installed bead board in the laundry room, subfloor in the master bedroom walk-in closet, and baseboard throughout the upstairs main floor. I have also seen decks installed by this professional company. All of the work was excellent in every way. Further, the installers were prompt, courteous and great about what needed to be done and why. They were wonderful to work with in every way!
